The 50/50 Purpose
Every year, as the Melbourne Ice Foundation, we support 3-4 Community Charities and Events. So far we have raised and distributed over $50,000.00 for selected charity partners. The 50/50 Raffle is our way to raise money to support these community programs. All funds raised are fully distributed.
Our Raffle Partner
We have partnered collaborated with Split 50/50 to privide this digital raffle program. Split 50/50 work with a range of sporting organisations to facilitiate a 50/50 style raffle in their own communities and legal jurisdictions.
How Do we make it Work
Its so easy, scan the QR code from Social Media or signs at the stadium, then pledge your raffle ticket purchase online and everything else happens electronically. Winners are announced only with their consent, and notifications are made directly to your phone. 50% of all funds are then distributed by us via a gift voucher at popular retailers and suppliers [EG Woolworths or JB Hifi]. Cash is not permitted to be re-distributed in VICTORIA as a 50/50 raffle.
Charity Partner Funds Distribution.
We distribute funds on a monthly basis and we have a dedicated charity every month to align ourselves too. An example of these are;
- April : The Royal Childrens Hospital [Good Friday Appeal]
- May : 300 Blankets
- June : Allanah and Madeline Foundation
New charities and partners might be added at any time under the governance of the Melbourne Ice Foundation.
