ABOUT ICE TOURS

In 2026–27, we will experience the excitement of the NHL across Vancouver, Toronto and Eastern Canada, before finishing with an optional extension in New York City.

ICE TOURS welcomes hockey supporters from across Australia and New Zealand, including fans of every AIHL team. We proudly wear our team jerseys to NHL games, celebrating Australian and New Zealand ice hockey together. This year we already have bookings from travellers from UK, Sweden, NZ, Japan and of course Australia. 

Our tour groups regularly attract attention at NHL arenas and are often featured during games and on the stadium’s digital screens.

Over the years, we have developed a simple and successful formula for planning and operating our international hockey tours.

• Depart Australia on 29 December 2026, after Christmas, and return around 12 January 2027, ready for the new working year.
• Enjoy a fully inclusive and professionally chaperoned tour.
• Attend four NHL games in iconic arenas, featuring destinations such as Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
• Spend two to three days in Quebec City, experiencing its unique French-Canadian culture, history and lifestyle.
• Take part in two to three special experiences, which may include arena tours, museums and cultural attractions.
• Choose from two to three optional extras, such as NBA, NFL or additional NHL games.
• Travel between destinations by private coach for approximately six of the 12 touring days, with no single coach journey exceeding six hours.
• Add an optional four-day, three-night extension in New York City.
• Enjoy a balanced itinerary, with approximately 50% organised activities and 50% personal time.
• Take advantage of flexible payment terms designed to help travellers plan, save and manage the cost of their tour.

Like all of our tours, we are offering a fully inclusive package including; 

• Return economy flights* from your Australian capital city.
• 12 nights | 13 Days away. 
• 4 Star Accommodation + Breakfasts included.
• 4 NHL Games + One Junior or Local Game.
• Internal flights to/from Vancouver
• Coach Travel between cities.
• Welcome Drinks and Farewell Dinner. 

For travellers wishing to book their own flights, you will need to meet the tour in Vancouver on December 29, 2026 and you will leave the tour on January 10, 2027 in Vancouver.

On the tour this year we will be flying in and out of Vancouver.  We will visit at least 5 cities along the way, including;  

• Vancouver [First City]
• Ottawa
• Quebec
• Montreal
• Toronto

The draw has now been releasded and we will be visiting 4 NHL Games, showcasing eight different teams along the route. We typically book Middle Bowl or Tier and try to get our group all together. For Toronto and Montreal, these tickets are very hard to get together but we will do our best.

We are also trying to source an Junior AAA Game while in Quebec.

Every year we try to include at least 3-4 free additional experiences as we progress through the tour.  So far this year we have the following inclusions as part of your tour and cost; 

• Escorted Tour of the Rogers Arena [Vancouver Canucks Stadium] - 2 hours
• Visit to the Rideau Canal [Ottawa Outdoor Canal Skate] - 3 hours
• River Cruise in Quebec - 2 hours
• Escorted Tour of the Centre Bell [Montreal Canadiens Stadium] - 2 hours
• Visit to the Saint Sauveur Ski & Tobbogan Park - 3 hours
• Day trip to Niagara Falls [Canadian Side]

Others may be included as they are discovered.

This tour we will be offering some o"ptional extra games" to offer our travellers, and he way we will book well in advance of the tour beginning; 

• Additional NHL Game [schedule permitting].
• *NFL or NBA Game of the Tour' - expect to pay about $400.00 per ticket.
• AAA Junior Game.

All optional games will be identified and offered by August 30, 2026.

We stay at 4 star hotels, close to the stadiums, usually Marriott or Hilton, and all provide free WIFI and Buffet Breakfast. We offer; 

• Single ROOM - one queen or king bed.
• Shared ROOM - one queen or king bed.
• Twin Share - two single or double beds.
• Triple Rooms - Upon Request

You can nominate your travel buddy, or we can nominate another person in a Twin Share. 

For this tour we have a minimum of 30 travellers to run the tour. We also have a maximum capacity [luxury coach] of 56 travellers. At the end of July 2026 we have 40 confirmed travellers. 

We will take new registrations from 2025 until September 30, 2026 or until booked out.

The following exclusions will apply for this tour:

1. Lunch and Dinner most days.
2. New Years Eve Celebrations.
3. Souvenirs and Shopping.
4. OPTIONAL GAMES and Attractions - as above
5. Travel insurance ~ all travellers will need to secure travel insurance prior to beginning this tour. We can assist if you are not already covered [usually about $350.00]
6. Visas ~ all travellers will require a travel visa to Canada for this trip. Only those with the 3 Day NYC add-on will require an USA Visa. Expect to pay about $50.00 for these [each]. 

Our Goal is to keep to these tours below $10,000 for the full tour including all international and domestic airfares.

 EARLY BIRD PRICING will be kept under $10K AUS for this tour. [EG : Last year $9790.00]

• Adult Twin Share [either twin or shared queen rooms] = Under $10K per traveller.
• Adult Single Room = Under $12K per traveller;

Land only option, if you would like to make your own way to the start of tour [EG Buy your own air tickets], we offer a land only option at roughly $3200.00 under the prices above.

After July 30, a full deposit of $1000.00 will be required to secure the booking.  We then offer flexible monthly payments for the tour balance. See downloadable price list below.
